Pukha Hurdee and Thyme Chicken
Pukha Hurdee and Thyme Chicken.
1 tray of mixed chicken portions (skinless)
1 teaspoon of hurdee
1 grated tomatoe
3 green chillies
salt to taste
1 finely chopped onion
3 potatoes cut into quarters
2 1/2 tablespoons of oil
2 teaspoons of ginger garlic
3 sprigs of thyme
-In a meduim sized pot heat the oil on low gently.
-Add the finely chopped onions and the chillies which must
be split in half.
-Allow the onions and chillies to brown.
-Add the hurdee and ginger garlic
-Add the chicken and salt
-Stir until the hurdee and onions are mixed well
-Add the tomatoes from the top
-add the pototoes
-add 100ml of water
- cook on low heat until the potatoes and chicken is
cooked(+- 20 min)
- add the thyme as a garnish
Serve with basmati rice or roti
